FREEHOLD, N.J. – The Monmouth County Board of County Commissioners has announced that the 2024 fall surplus online auction will take place from Saturday, Oct. 19, through Tuesday, Oct. 22. The auction will feature a variety of items, including vehicles and equipment from various County departments.
“By conducting the auction online, the County can serve more participants and receive bids from other states, which can generate more revenue for the County,” said Commissioner Director Thomas A. Arnone, who serves as liaison to the Department of Public Works and Engineering.
The items will be available for inspection at the Monmouth County Public Works and Engineering Complex on Monday, Oct. 21, and Tuesday, Oct. 22, from 8 a.m. to 3 p.m. Potential bidders with questions can contact Mark Pajor at 732-431-7290, ext. 4.
The County has been holding these online surplus auctions since 2008, generating more than $4 million in revenue. Commissioner Dominick DiRocco, liaison to the Department of Finance, noted that these auctions help generate savings for taxpayers.
