In a statement issued on Tuesday, the Monroe Township Police Department assured locals that state and federal agencies are actively monitoring the situation. Officials stressed that the drones do not now pose any known threat.
Locals are urged to report any suspicious drone activity to the FBI tip line at 1-800-CALL-FBI. If at all feasible, include the location, time, and distinctive characteristics of the drone.
Additionally, police advised drone pilots to abide by FAA rules, which forbid flying close to private property, restricted locations, or in a way that could jeopardize public safety.
