EVESHAM, New Jersey.A 33-year-old man from Mount Laurel was taken into custody on Wednesday after he allegedly demanded money and passed a message threatening violence at a Bank of America location on Route 70.
When Evesham Police arrived on the scene of the crime at roughly 2:43 p.m., they immediately set up a perimeter. The suspect fled the scene on foot after officers distributed a description of him, and a vigilant officer later saw a car that fit the suspect’s description.
According to authorities, David Bello, a white Hispanic man, was stopped and taken into custody without any problems. After obtaining a search warrant for the car, investigators discovered evidence that connected Bello to the heist.
Bello is being detained at the Burlington County Jail while he awaits his initial court appearance in the Burlington County Superior Court on charges of robbery and theft.
To find out if Bello was involved in any other bank robberies in the area, the Evesham Police Department is working with the FBI, Mt. Laurel Police, and Westampton Police.
