Myrtle Beach police investigate Shavis Court shooting




MYRTLE BEACH, S.C.—According to officials, police are looking into a shooting that happened Wednesday night near Shavis Court and left one person hurt.

Officers started an investigation when a shooting victim arrived at the Ted C. Collins Law Enforcement Center at around 9:43 p.m. on November 20. According to the authorities, the event happened in Shavis Court’s 1400 block.

The victim’s status has not been made public, however they were taken to a hospital for treatment. As detectives search for evidence and identify possible suspects, law enforcement has stepped up their presence in the neighborhood.

Residents are asked to call Myrtle Beach Police at 843-918-1382 if they have any information regarding the shooting.

Police are still investigating and trying to ascertain what happened before the incident.
