Naperville, IL — Naperville’s second cycle of curbside leaf collection starts today, Nov. 4, giving residents free options for yard waste disposal through Dec. 13. The free bagged leaf and yard waste collection means residents can dispose of yard debris without paying for yard waste stickers.
From now through Dec. 13, residents can use 32-gallon paper yard waste bags, marked 32-gallon trash cans, or clearly labeled wheeled carts for disposal. For pickup, all materials should be placed at the curb by 6 a.m. on collection days.
Naperville’s pilot compost drop-off site has also updated its guidelines. The site will now accept only compostable food scraps, such as vegetables, fruits, and grains. Yard waste, including grass clippings and leaves, will not be accepted at the compost site, focusing the program solely on compostable food collection.
Residents are encouraged to bag leaves and yard waste for free curbside pickup during this collection period. For more details, including compostable item lists, visit Naperville’s official website at naperville.il.us/yardwaste.
