Nevada Weather Update: Strong Winds Hit Las Vegas Thursday With Sunny Skies Through the Weekend

The city of Las Vegas NV Before a warm weekend arrives, strong winds with gusts as high as 21 mph will blow across Las Vegas on Thursday. Although the National Weather Service predicts generally bright weather, locals should prepare for strong northeast winds all day long.

The National Weather Service predicts that Thursday’s high will be 73 degrees Fahrenheit, with gusts making outdoor activities difficult. Overnight, winds will moderate a bit, with a low of about 51 degrees Fahrenheit. Friday is a great day for travel and outdoor activities because of the calmer weather, with a high of around 75 degrees Fahrenheit and largely sunny sky.

Saturday is still going to be warm, with a high of 74 degrees Fahrenheit and largely sunny skies. There is a tiny risk of rain by late morning on Sunday, though, when clouds roll in. It will decrease to 70 degrees Fahrenheit. With temperatures dropping to 50 degrees Fahrenheit on Sunday evening, there is a greater risk of rain.

Monday will be partly sunny with a high of 65 degrees Fahrenheit early next week. Monday night will be chilly, with a low of 45 degrees. Tuesday brings sunny skies and a high of almost 68 degrees Fahrenheit.

On Thursday, travelers should keep an eye on the wind, particularly on major thoroughfares like I-15. Those who have plans for the weekend should be ready for possible rain on Sunday.
