New Jersey Man Arrested in Connection with Vehicle Burglaries

* New Jersey’s Gloucester Township A man suspected of being involved in several car break-ins in the Hilltop area was taken into custody by Gloucester Township Police. Officers were notified that a male in black clothing was trying to break into a car on Old Black Horse Pike, and the arrest happened at 1:21 AM on Thursday.

Four more automobiles were claimed to have been broken into by the suspect over the course of the inquiry. The unnamed individual stole a variety of goods after breaking into four unlocked cars. Gilbert J. Ferguson, the suspect, was found by officers on Landing Road.

Following a brief pursuit on Brewer Avenue, Ferguson tried to escape on foot but was apprehended. He was charged with several crimes, including four counts of burglary, after being apprehended and discovered in possession of the money from the break-ins. In accordance with the New Jersey Criminal Justice Reform Act, Gilbert Ferguson was remanded to the Camden County Correctional Facility.
