New Jersey man charged in $200,000 Amazon delivery scam

New Jersey’s Monroe Township. Authorities said Thursday that a 34-year-old man has been charged in relation to a complex Amazon delivery fraud that resulted in the theft of almost $200,000 worth of goods. Detectives from Monroe Township Police conducted a months-long investigation before apprehending Aneury Castillo-Blanco of Passaic.

Castillo-Blanco is charged with operating multiple Amazon delivery routes fraudulently by donning disguises and phony identification cards. According to investigators, he moved parcels from an Amazon fulfillment center to a Middlesex County storage facility, where the goods were stolen and redirected.

According to investigators, the scam resulted in a total loss of $192,199.32 in Amazon merchandise. Castillo-Blanco is charged with 95 counts of burglary, four counts of impersonation, and theft by deceit.

Castillo-Blanco was arrested by the authorities and taken to the Middlesex County Adult Corrections Center.
