New Jersey man charged with attempted murder after stabbing at local business




New Jersey’s Oakland.According to investigators, a 34-year-old man is accused of stabbing a guy inside an Oakland business on Thursday afternoon and is now being charged with attempted murder and weapons violations.

When Oakland Police arrived at 455 Ramapo Valley Road on November 21 at around 2:56 p.m., they discovered a reported stabbing. The culprit had escaped, but when officers arrived on the site, they discovered a 53-year-old male who had been stabbed.

The alleged attacker, Jose Higinio Ramos Solis of Oakland, was swiftly captured by police not far from the incident. The victim’s status has not been made public, however he was taken to a nearby hospital for treatment.

Ramos Solis allegedly approached the victim inside the restaurant and used a huge knife to attack him, according to the Bergen County Prosecutor’s Office. Ramos Solis was charged with first-degree attempted murder, third-degree unauthorized possession of a weapon, and fourth-degree possession of a weapon after the Oakland Police Department and the Prosecutor’s Office Major Crimes Unit conducted an investigation.

While awaiting his initial court appearance in Bergen County Superior Court in Hackensack, Ramos Solis is being detained at the Bergen County Jail.
