WEEHAWKEN, New Jersey. To protect passengers during one of the busiest travel times of the year, the New Jersey State Police carried out a high-profile security operation at Port Imperial on Thanksgiving Eve.
The Marine Services Bureau, the Mounted Unit, and the Target Hardening Unit were among the units that participated in the effort, which aimed to increase awareness and discourage any threats at the Weehawken transportation hub. The effort is in line with the See Something, Say Something campaign, which urges people to alert authorities to questionable activities.
