New Rochelle celebrates the season with holiday market, festive events




New Rochelle, New York. Through December 22, New Rochelle’s 2024 Holiday Market will provide locals and tourists with a variety of joyous events and shopping options.

With more than 45 merchants, live acts, food trucks, and an outdoor ice rink, the market is situated near the New Rochelle Train Station. The event showcases local makers and entrepreneurs with an emphasis on promoting Minority and Women-Owned Business Enterprises (MWBE). Hours are 4 to 8 p.m. on weekdays and 12 to 8 p.m. on weekends.

Throughout December, parking is free for two hours at several downtown spaces, including the Transit Center Garage, which has reserved parking for market visitors. Rudolph Rocs New Ro will be held in Ruby Dee Park on Saturday, December 7, and the Chamber of Commerce Annual Holiday Lighting will take place at Memorial Plaza at 4:30 p.m. as part of the holiday celebrations.

Santa will make many appearances, including presenting the Santa Parks Tour on December 14 at 9:30 a.m. and appearing on a firetruck during the Holiday Lighting. The Kids Roc N New Year Party at Ryan Sinkfield Park on December 31 at 11 a.m. and the second annual New Year’s Eve Kickoff Party at Anderson Plaza starting at 8 p.m. mark the end of the holiday season.
