New York Power Authority to host free holiday event at Blenheim-Gilboa Visitors Center

North Brooklyn, New York. On Saturday, December 14, from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m., the New York Power Authority (NYPA) will host its annual Holly Jolly Celebration at the Blenheim-Gilboa Visitors Center, providing a joyous and family-friendly event.

A range of holiday-themed activities, including arts & crafts projects and letter writing to Santa, will be offered at the free event. As part of the celebrations, children will receive cookies and a free ornament, and visitors can snap pictures with Santa next door at the Historic Lansing Manor.

On the grounds of the Blenheim-Gilboa complex, visitors may also take advantage of horseback rides and wagon rides, as well as see holiday trees that have been decorated by neighborhood clubs and nonprofits.

Housed in a renovated dairy barn from the 19th century, the Blenheim-Gilboa Visitors Center offers interactive displays about electricity and how the Blenheim-Gilboa Pumped Storage Power Project works. The center is a component of the Lansing Manor complex, which is open all year round with free entrance.

Located on Route 30, the center is five miles north of Grand Gorge and 17 miles south of Middleburgh. Visit NYPA’s website at www.nypa.gov or call 1-800-724-0309 for more details on the event or a complete schedule of events.
