Newark police seek help locating man wanted for questioning in shooting investigation




Newark, New Jersey.El Amin Muhammad, 40, of Newark, is wanted for questioning in relation to a gunshot that took place on Chancellor Avenue on November 21, 2024, and authorities are requesting the public’s help in finding him.

The city’s shot spotter detection system notified police of gunfire in the 300 block of Chancellor Avenue at around 10:01 p.m. that evening. At the location, responding cops found seven shot casings. No more information regarding the incident or any victims has been made public.

Muhammad is characterized as a Black man with a bald head, 5 11 height, and 190 pounds.
