Newark police seek public’s help identifying suspects in restaurant theft

Newark, New Jersey. The Newark Department of Public Safety is requesting help with identifying two ladies who are suspected of stealing services from a restaurant in Newark on Saturday night.

The event happened at a restaurant on Patterson Street close to Wall Street on November 23 at approximately 7 p.m. The suspects, according to the police, ordered meals and drinks totaling $106 but only paid $50 before leaving the premises.

In the hopes that someone in the community may recognize the two suspects, who are described as Black females, investigators have made their photographs public.

Anyone with information regarding the suspects should call the Police Division’s 24-hour Crime Stopper tip line at 1-877-NWK-TIPS (1-877-695-8477), Public Safety Director Emanuel Miranda advised. Anonymous tips are welcome and could earn you a prize.

In an effort to hold the suspects responsible for the outstanding balance, detectives are still looking into the matter.
