Newark woman missing since March, police continue search

NEWARK, N.J.

— Police are asking for the public’s help locating 53-year-old Robin J. Bacote, who was reported missing in early April and was last seen in Newark more than two months ago.

Newark Department of Public Safety Director Emanuel Miranda, Sr. said Bacote was last seen around 12 p.m. on March 28 in the area of Baldwin Avenue near Clinton Avenue. She was reportedly riding an electric scooter and carrying a mini-speaker at the time of her disappearance.

According to investigators, Bacote is described as an African American woman, standing 5 feet 9 inches tall and weighing approximately 140 pounds. She has brown hair and brown eyes. At the time she was last seen, she was wearing a multi-colored scarf, a green vest, gray pants, and sneakers.

Authorities say Bacote is believed to be in good physical and mental health. Her family or acquaintances last had contact with her before she went missing in late March.
