Northern Indiana Weather: Highs in the 50s Before a Cold Front Brings Weekend Chill

Fort Wayne, IndianaBefore a cold front rolls in this weekend, northern Indiana will experience seasonably moderate temperatures through the beginning of next week. Before falling into the 20s and 30s, highs will peak in the 40s and 50s.

There is a 60% chance of precipitation on Wednesday, according to the Northern Indiana National Weather Service. Overall, the weather will be pleasant, though there may be a few sprinkles on Thursday and Friday.

Temperatures will start to decline by Saturday, with highs barely getting into the 30s. The weekend will conclude considerably cooler as overnight lows drop into the teens and 20s.

The uncharacteristically warm weather is being replaced by a cold front that is moving in from the northwest, which is the cause of the temperature swing. This weekend’s travelers should be ready for quickly shifting temperatures.

There is a probability of rain returning by early next week, but no severe winter weather is anticipated. By Saturday, residents should keep abreast of forecasts and dress appropriately for the cooler weather.
