NJ’s Toms River In order to finance essential home repair repairs for five homes in northern Ocean County, Northern Ocean Habitat for Humanity announced that it has received a $50,000 grant from Lowe’s.
According to the group, the award is intended to strengthen communities while enhancing the sustainability, use, and safety of dwellings. The award will be used for window replacements, thermoplastic olefin (TPO) roof installation, and tub-to-shower conversions.
A new TPO roof, 14 energy-efficient windows, a remodeled front porch, and a new rear door were among the major improvements made to the home of one beneficiary, Tracy, a Jackson resident. My life has greatly improved as a result of all these repairs. She praised the volunteers and employees of the charity, saying, “I feel like I hit the lottery.”
Northern Ocean Habitat for Humanity’s executive director, Kristine Novakowski, thanked the organization for the assistance. We can perform important renovations that make homes safer and more sustainable thanks to this assistance. In a statement, she stated, “We are working together to create a lasting impact on the communities we serve.”
Lowe’s $6 million commitment to Habitat for Humanity International includes the contribution. This year, the company hopes to sponsor 295 projects across the United States that will benefit almost 700 people.
With important repairs in progress, Lowe’s collaboration aids in community reconstruction and life transformation in Ocean County.
