NYPD Offering $10,000 Reward for September Shooting that Killed Texas Man


Brooklyn, New York. According to authorities, a shooting at 307 Eastern Parkway on Monday, September 2, left a 25-year-old man dead and four others wounded. As of Tuesday, no arrests had been made in connection with the event, which is still being investigated.

At at 2:35 p.m., 77th Precinct officers responded to a 911 call regarding gunfire. They found five victims with gunshot wounds when they arrived. After being shot in the abdomen, 25-year-old Denzel A. Chan of Spring, Texas, was taken to NYC Health and Hospitals/Kings County, where he was later declared deceased.

A 69-year-old woman was shot in the shoulder, a 64-year-old guy was injured in his arm, a 36-year-old man was wounded in the head, and a 16-year-old boy was shot in the arm. Authorities said all four are listed in stable condition.

A total reward of up to $10,000 is being offered by the NYPD for information that results in the arrest and conviction of the guilty parties. Anonymous tips can be sent online or by calling the Crime Stoppers Hotline.

While the inquiry is ongoing, no motive or suspect information has been made public.
