According to the Bartlesville Police Department, a father was arrested after abducting his 4-year-old child from his custody mother on Monday morning.
Police said they responded to an abduction report along Highway 60 and Southeast Kings Drive in Bartlesville.
According to the mother of a four-year-old child, Justin Shearhart, the child’s biological father, stole him and drove away on Nowata Road.
An Amber Alert was issued, and police began searching for the culprit and child.
According to police, at 9:10 a.m., OHP discovered Shearhart and the infant in Rogers County. The infant was successfully rescued, and Shearhart was brought into prison without incident.

According to Bartlesville Police, an investigation will continue to ensure that all appropriate protocols are followed and that the child’s safety is emphasized.
