Tulsa From early Tuesday morning through Wednesday, Oklahoma is expected to be hit by a major winter storm that will bring dangerous traffic conditions, ice conditions, and a lot of snow. With snowfall totals of up to 10 inches, the National Weather Service has issued a Winter Storm Warning for northeast Oklahoma, which includes Tulsa, Bartlesville, and Muskogee.
The storm is expected to start at around 6 a.m. on Tuesday and last until early Wednesday, according to the National Weather Service Tulsa. Sometimes vision is almost nonexistent due to blowing and drifting snow caused by strong winds. McAlester and Poteau are among the areas in southeast Oklahoma under a Winter Weather Advisory, which predicts up to two inches of snow and minor ice accumulation.
Road conditions will rapidly worsen, officials warn, and travel may become exceedingly risky. Residents are asked to minimize needless travel, finish storm preparations by Monday night, and drive carefully if necessary.
Parts of Oklahoma may receive the season’s most substantial snowfall as a result of this storm. Although extensive power outages are not anticipated, they are nevertheless possible because of the ice accumulation and severe winds. Keep abreast of local forecasts and be ready for any interruptions.
