One Dead, Another Injured in Myrtle Beach Shooting Following Roommate Dispute


MYRTLE BEACH, S.C. — A shooting at an apartment on Greens Boulevard left one person dead and another injured Monday evening, according to Myrtle Beach Police. Officers responded to a call of gunfire around 8:40 p.m. in the 2000 block of Greens Boulevard following a reported altercation between two roommates.

Upon arrival, officers found one individual deceased at the scene. A second person was transported to a local hospital for medical treatment, though police did not release further details on the extent of their injuries. Authorities detained several other individuals at the scene as part of the investigation.

The Myrtle Beach Police Department emphasized that there is no ongoing threat to the community. In a statement posted on social media, police encouraged anyone with information about the incident to come forward. “Anyone with information is encouraged to contact MBPD at 843-918-1382 or message on social media,” officials stated, adding that callers can remain anonymous.
