Patrol Car Flips, Deputy Injured After Collision with RV on SLO County Road

In the course of responding to a service call in Paso Robles on Thursday evening, a deputy from the San Luis Obispo County Sheriff’s Office sustained injuries after their vehicle collided with a parked recreational vehicle (RV) and flipped over.

According to Tony Cippola, a representative for the Sheriff’s Office, the recreational vehicle (RV) was partially within the roadway after the driver had exhausted all of their gas supply. His statement was that the truck did not have its hazards turned on.

One of the corners of the parked vehicle was struck by the patrol vehicle, which caused the vehicle to tumble onto its side.

According to Cipolla, the deputy who was engaged in the collision was sent to the hospital and discharged almost immediately with only minor injuries.

The person who was inside the RV at the time of the collision did not sustain any injuries, he added.

The authorities are investigating the crash.
