Pennsylvania player wins $1 million Mega Millions prize

Middletown, Pennsylvania As the jackpot rises to $944 million for Tuesday, a Pennsylvania Lottery ticket sold in Crawford County won $1 million in the Friday, December 20 Mega Millions drawing.

The winning ticket missed the yellow Mega Ball number 19, but it matched all five white balls 2, 20, 51, 56, and 67. It was sold at the Country Fair on Penn Street in Linesville. If the winning ticket is sold, the shop will get a bonus of $5,000.

During Friday’s drawing, more than 122,400 tickets throughout the state claimed smaller prizes, including the $1 million prize. Their earnings were further increased by purchasing almost 22,600 of them with the Megaplier option.

Winners must confirm their tickets prior to the payout, and they have one year from the drawing date to retrieve their prizes. Players are reminded by lottery authorities to thoroughly inspect and sign the back of their tickets.

The Mega Millions prize pool has increased to an estimated $944 million, with a cash value of $429.4 million, for Tuesday night’s drawing because there was no jackpot winner on Friday.
