Don’t be the next victim of violent gun crime in Philadelphia, Here’s how to get a gun permit

To obtain a gun permit for self-defense in Philadelphia, residents must apply for a License to Carry Firearms (LTCF) through the Philadelphia Police Department’s Gun Permits Unit. Applicants must be at least 21 years old and complete a detailed application form, which includes personal information, reasons for carrying, and references. The process requires a non-refundable application fee, a valid Pennsylvania driver’s license or state ID, and proof of residency. Applicants must pass a background check and may be subject to an interview. Approval typically takes up to 45 days, after which successful applicants will receive their LTCF card, allowing them to carry a concealed firearm. It is important to follow all state and local regulations, as carrying without a valid permit can result in legal penalties.
