Piscataway police enforcing truck weight limit on River Road

PISCATAWAY, NJ.Township Ordinance 7-25, which prohibits vehicles weighing more than 10 tons (20,000 pounds) from proceeding on River Road between Landing Lane and Centennial Avenue, is being strictly enforced by the Traffic Safety Division of the Piscataway Township Police Department.

To maintain road safety and adherence to local laws, the enforcement targets overweight cars that use the restricted portion.

In order to prevent fines and safeguard municipal infrastructure, authorities advise drivers to adhere to the stipulated weight limitations.
