PITTSBURGH — A loose horse wandering through a city neighborhood was safely returned to its owners on Tuesday after being corralled by police officers.
The Pittsburgh Bureau of Police reported that Zone 1 officers responded to the area of Brighton Road and Harbison Avenue around 1:30 p.m. following reports of an escaped horse.
Officers quickly located the animal and were able to safely secure it without incident. The horse, described as calm and cooperative, was offered carrots while officers worked to ensure its safe return.
The horse was reunited with its owners shortly after being found and was returned to its stables. Police have not provided details on how the horse escaped but noted that no injuries or damage were reported during the incident.
