Police investigate shots fired in Middletown neighborhood, no victims reported

MIDDLETOWN, Del. — The Middletown Police Department is looking into a confirmed shooting incident that happened Friday in a residential area on the east side of town.

In the Estates at St. Anne’s neighborhood, officers were called to complaints of shooting near Kirkcaldy Lane and E. Glen Mare Drive. Although no fatalities or injuries have been reported, investigators have established that shots were fired.

As of Friday afternoon, no suspects had been named, and the incident’s time was not stated.

The public is being asked to assist the police. In a social media message, the department asked anyone with information or video about this event to get in touch with Detective Starrett.

Officials did not say if shot casings were found at the scene or if any property was damaged.

The community is being asked to help in the ongoing investigation.
