Police Investigating After One Killed, Two Injured in Shooting in Essex


ESSEX, Md. — Baltimore County police are investigating a fatal shooting that left one man dead and two others injured in Essex on Saturday afternoon.

Officers responded to the 900 block of Bayner Road around 3:03 p.m. after receiving reports of gunfire. Upon arrival, police found an adult male outside the location with multiple gunshot wounds. Despite efforts by officers and medical personnel to administer aid, the victim was pronounced dead at the scene.

Two additional victims with gunshot wounds were transported to nearby hospitals, where they were treated for non-life-threatening injuries. Authorities have not released the identities of any of the victims or provided details on the possible circumstances surrounding the shooting.
