Police search for driver in fatal hit-and-run in Willingboro

WILLINGBORO TOWNSHIP, N.J. — A man was hit and killed by a car on Route 130 north on Monday night, and authorities are looking into the incident.

The crash happened between 9 and 9:20 p.m. close to The Grand Marketplace, just south of Veterans Parkway, according to the Willingboro Township Police Department and the Burlington County Prosecutor’s Office. The car’s driver escaped the scene and is still unidentified and unpunished.

Until his family is notified, the victim’s name is being kept confidential. Additional information regarding the circumstances surrounding the crash has not been made public by law enforcement agencies.
