Police Search for Suspect in Attempted Bank Robbery in Annapolis

ANNAPOLIS, MD — The Annapolis Police Department is looking for a suspect in Thursday morning’s attempted robbery at the Wells Fargo Bank on Jennifer Road.

According to police, a lady entered the bank at approximately 10:45 a.m., made it appear as though she was carrying a firearm, and demanded money from a teller. The teller disobeyed, and no firearm was seen throughout the encounter.

Before the police came, the suspect left the scene. She was not found during a search of the neighborhood.

According to the description, the suspect is a Black woman in her mid-30s who is around 5 feet 5 inches tall, dressed in blue trousers, a gray jacket, and a green and black cap.

Police are urging anyone with knowledge to come forward as they continue their investigation.
