WASHINGTON, D.C. — Police are searching for a suspect involved in an armed robbery that occurred Tuesday night in Northeast D.C.

On Tuesday, around 8:00 p.m., officers responded to reports of a robbery in the 1600 block of Benning Road, Northeast. According to the victim, the suspect approached and demanded his property. When the victim refused, the suspect brandished a weapon, took the victim’s belongings, and fled the scene. No injuries were reported.

Nearby surveillance cameras captured images of the suspect, and police are asking for the public’s assistance in identifying the individual.
