Police Unable to Identify Man Stabbed Thursday Morning in Manhattan


NEW YORK — An unidentified man was found dead with multiple stab wounds early Thursday morning in Manhattan’s Lower East Side, and police are now investigating the incident as a homicide.

Officers from the NYPD’s 5th Precinct responded to a 911 call at approximately 8:07 a.m. near the intersection of East Broadway and Pike Street. Upon arrival, they discovered a man lying unconscious and unresponsive with multiple stab wounds to his torso, according to police.

Emergency medical services arrived shortly after and pronounced the man dead at the scene. Police have not yet made any arrests in connection with the stabbing, and the investigation remains ongoing.


Authorities have not released the identity of the victim, pending notification of his family.
