Portage Man Arrested in Homer After Knife Threat on Calhoun County Deputy

Homer, MI – A Portage, Michigan man was arrested early Tuesday after allegedly brandishing a knife at a Calhoun County Sheriff’s deputy in Homer. Deputies responded around 7:24 a.m. to reports of someone burning leaves on the sidewalk along East Adams Street. When they arrived, they encountered a 64-year-old man who initially cooperated with authorities.
