Laurel, M.D.Detectives from Prince George’s County Police are looking into the shooting death of a 58-year-old man in the unincorporated area of Laurel on Tuesday night. Laurel resident Jerome Stocks has been identified as the victim.
Around 9:00 p.m., officers were called to the 12000 block of Silverbirch Lane in response to a shooting incident. When they got there, they discovered Stocks outside, shot. At the scene, he was declared dead.
Investigators are trying to identify any suspects in the shooting and ascertain a motive.
