Rainfall Across New Jersey Leads to Pleasant Weekend Weather

Over the next four days, New Jersey is expected to have a range of weather conditions, with rain predominating through Friday before a sunny and pleasant weekend takes over.

Widespread rain is expected today, and thunderstorms could form early in the day. As temperatures rise to a high of almost 51 degrees Fahrenheit in the afternoon, showers will gradually give way to sporadic rain. With gusts of up to 25 mph, a strong north wind that shifts to the west later in the day will keep it feeling cooler. The rain lessens to sporadic showers by nightfall, then starts to clear off a little. With mainly cloudy sky and a brisk southwest breeze, the low will dip to 33 degrees Fahrenheit.

With a 50% probability of showers, especially in the morning and early afternoon, Friday will likely continue the pattern of erratic weather. Southwest winds of 10 to 15 mph will accompany the colder 45 F peak temperature. The likelihood of rain decreases further at night, and when lows approach 33 degrees Fahrenheit, the skies will progressively clear. The weekend officially begins with this slow clearing.

With partly sunny skies and highs that are close to late November seasonal norms in the low 50s, Saturday is a welcome change. The day will feel like crisp autumn thanks to a strong west wind that can reach 30 mph. With a low of about 37 degrees Fahrenheit, Saturday night will be partly overcast. Sunday’s weather is again dry and comfortable, with lots of sunshine and highs of 53 degrees Fahrenheit. Overnight, partially cloudy skies will cause temperatures to drop to a cold 33 degrees Fahrenheit.

It’s the perfect time to take advantage of the late fall weather before winter arrives, as this forecast indicates a break from the rain as the weekend draws near.
