An 82-year-old woman was pushed into the tracks in a Queens subway by a cruel stranger during a random attack on Wednesday, according to the police. This incident is the most recent in a string of violent incidents that have occurred in the city’s underground.
As the train was sitting at the station, the intruder pushed the elderly victim just before noon at the Flushing-Main Street No. 7 station, according to the authorities.
Before she landed on the tracks between cars, she reportedly banged her head on the side of the train, leaving behind a gory scene. This occurred before she landed on the tracks.
In a stable condition, she was transported by emergency medical technicians to New York-Presbyterian Queens Hospital.
As of Wednesday evening, the person who was suspected of shoveling had escaped from the station and was still at large.
