Real People. Real News. Real Local.

We adore local news. With a love for covering topics that major metropolitan newsrooms won’t, we founded the Jack and Kitten.com newsroom at our kitchen table in Winona, Minnesota.

Our coverage and popularity eventually spread to the Midwest and, more recently, the entire country. We are happy to continue operating our offices from our kitchen table, and other reporters from throughout the nation are now joining us at the old table.

Our journalism staff collaborates via conference calls, coffee, and crazy Zoom meetings that are frequently hijacked by everyone’s pets. Is this newsroom conventional? No way!We are quite proud of our approach, and this newsroom is made up of real individuals covering real news in a very local way.

Last but not least, without you, our devoted readers, we could not have accomplished this. We appreciate your confidence in us with your local news. Email: [email protected] if you have a tip or just want to say hello (you’ll get extra credit if you send us a photo of your dogs). Additionally, you can ask us questions regarding Tater Tot Hotdish using that email. Hehe.
