Retired Anne Arundel police K-9 Bolt dies after years of service

ANNE ARUNDEL COUNTY, MD — The Anne Arundel County Police Department announced the passing of retired K-9 Bolt, a German Shepherd who served the community for five years before transferring to the Maryland Department of Corrections. K-9 Bolt was a dedicated police service dog known for his work alongside Corporals Sanchez and Gentile during his years with the department.

K-9 Bolt joined the Anne Arundel County Police Department in 2016 and retired from active duty in 2021. After retirement, Bolt continued his service to the state as part of the Department of Corrections in Jessup, Maryland.
