Ridgefield man charged with sexual assault of a minor

NJ’s Ridgefield After a municipal and county investigation, a 23-year-old male was taken into custody and charged with sexual assault and endangering the welfare of a child.

After an investigation found that Seeun Jang, of Ridgefield, had sexually molested a minor several times, he was placed under arrest on Monday. The Ridgefield Police Department and the Bergen County Prosecutor’s Office concluded that the occurrences happened in Ridgefield and involved a juvenile under the age of sixteen.

On November 25, the Bergen County Prosecutor’s Office Special Victims Unit received a referral from the Ridgefield Police Department, which sparked a thorough investigation. Authorities claim that Jang committed one crime of third-degree endangering the welfare of a child and two counts of second-degree sexual assault.

Jang is being held at the Bergen County Jail after being arrested on December 2. He is awaiting his initial court appearance in Hackensack’s Bergen County Superior Court.
