Rockford Fire Crews Battle Blaze in Second-Floor Apartment; Investigation Underway



Rockford, IL – A fire broke out on the 2800 block of Echo Street, prompting a swift response from the Rockford Fire Department on Tuesday. Crews arrived to find smoke and visible flames emanating from the second floor of a residential building.

According to a statement from the Rockford Fire Department, firefighters quickly deployed hoses and confined the blaze to a second-floor bedroom. The fire was successfully extinguished, and no injuries were reported. Investigators are now working to determine the cause of the fire, which remains under review.
