SALISBURY, M.D. According to officials, a 9-by-20-foot wood-framed shed on Salisbury’s Church Street was destroyed by fire on Sunday afternoon, resulting in an estimated $10,000 in losses.
Around 4:34 p.m., the Salisbury Fire Department arrived on the scene of the fire at 810 Church Street. Within ten minutes after twenty firefighters arrived on the scene, the fire was contained. Officials said there were no reported injuries.
A. Wikoff owned the shed, but it lacked sprinklers, fire alarms, and smoke alarms. A neighbor found the fire, and it has been established that the shed is where it started.
The cause of the fire is still being looked into. Anyone with information regarding the event is urged to call the Office of the State Fire Marshal’s Salisbury office at 410-713-3780.
The circumstances behind the fire that destroyed the building are still being looked at by authorities.
