Savannah Street shooting suspect arrested nearly two years after fatal incident




Washington, DC Police have detained a man in connection with a tragic shooting that occurred on Savannah Street in Southeast almost two years ago.

Around 3:01 p.m. on Saturday, February 25, the shooting took place. Officers from the Seventh District discovered three adult victims with gunshot wounds after responding to reports of gunshots in the 2200 block of Savannah Street. To receive treatment, the three were taken to a nearby hospital.

On Friday, March 3, one of the victims, Brice Djembissi, 37, of Hyattsville, Maryland, passed away from his wounds.

Dionzai Parker, 21, of Southeast Washington, DC, was taken into custody on Monday, December 9, in response to an indictment from the DC Superior Court. First-degree murder while armed is the charge against him.
