Second teen reported shot overnight in Chesapeake

Chesapeak, Virginia. According to the Chesapeake Police Department, a shooting at Chesapeake Square Ring Road on Saturday night injured a teenage boy, making it the second juvenile shooting in the city in a matter of hours.

Around 9:13 p.m., officers were called to the 2500 block of Taylor Road and discovered the victim at a nearby home. Before requesting assistance, the adolescent was shot near the 2400 block of Chesapeake Square Ring Road, according to the authorities.

According to police, the teen’s injuries were not life-threatening, and he was taken to a hospital. Details regarding the circumstances surrounding the shooting and possible suspects have not been made public by investigators.

Residents were alarmed by this shooting since it happened just over an hour after another adolescent man was hurt in a different incident in the 4100 block of Schooner Trail. Whether the two incidents are connected has not been disclosed by the police.
