Sherburne gas station sells $33K Take 5 ticket

SHERBURNE, N.Y. — A single top-prize ticket for the New York Lottery’s Nov. 7 Take 5 Evening drawing was sold at a convenience store in Sherburne, lottery officials announced Thursday. The winning ticket, worth $33,960.50, was purchased at the Mirabito gas station located at 84 N Main St.

The Take 5 drawing selects numbers from a field of 1 through 39 and is held twice daily, at 2:30 p.m. and 10:30 p.m. This particular win comes from the evening draw, in which a lucky ticket matched all five numbers to secure the top prize.

Lottery players across the state are reminded that prizes must be claimed within one year from the date of the drawing. Winners of any prize amount should contact the New York Lottery to begin the claim process.

This win highlights the ongoing popularity of the Take 5 game, one of New York’s longstanding lottery offerings. As always, the New York Lottery encourages winners to sign the back of their ticket and keep it in a safe place until they are ready to claim their prize.
