Spring Preview in Pennsylvania: Mild Days Before Cold Weather Returns This Weekend

Philadelphia, PA A chilly weather is expected to arrive by Sunday, but Philadelphia is enjoying an early taste of spring.

NWS Mount Holly predicts that the weather will stay pleasant through Saturday. The weather will be largely sunny with highs in the low 50s on Wednesday and Friday. On Thursday, there is a 40–60% probability of showers, particularly in the north and west.

The forecast for Friday is for highs in Philadelphia to be close to 49 degrees Fahrenheit, returning to typical seasonal levels. It will be warm and partly sunny on Saturday before getting cold again on Sunday.

Commuters should be ready for any changes in the weather. While midweek travel remains clear, rain showers Thursday could create slick roads. Overnight frost or icy areas could result from Sunday’s return to wintry temperatures.
