Stafford County Sheriff’s Office reports multiple assault incidents, charges filed


STAFFORD COUNTY, Va. — The Stafford County Sheriff’s Office reported two separate assault incidents over the weekend, both resulting in multiple charges. The incidents were detailed in the Daily Incident Report released on Monday.

The first incident occurred on November 2 at approximately 3:34 p.m. on Ringgold Road, where deputies responded to an alleged assault involving a man and his girlfriend’s father. According to the report, the suspect was charged with assault and battery. He was later released by the magistrate on personal recognizance.

Later that evening, around 6:00 p.m., deputies were dispatched to a basketball court on Anvil Road following reports of a fight. The altercation initially involved juveniles disputing over a soccer game, but tensions escalated when adults became involved in a separate physical altercation while deputies were on the scene. Authorities quickly intervened to break up the second fight.


Following an investigation, three adults were charged with assault and battery, as well as disorderly conduct, and were released on personal recognizance. Four juveniles involved in the initial altercation received criminal complaints for assault and battery and disorderly conduct.

The Sheriff’s Office has not released further details on the individuals involved or the nature of the disputes.
