Staten Island man charged with murder in fatal stabbing

New York’s Staten Island.After a 34-year-old was fatally stabbed inside a Travis Avenue home early on Sunday morning, a Staten Island man has been taken into custody and charged with murder.

At around 1:44 a.m. on November 24, police responded to a 911 call and found a victim inside 446 Travis Avenue who had been stabbed in the torso. At the scene, EMS declared the man dead. Since the inquiry is ongoing, his identity has not yet been made public.

Daniel Perez, 34, who lives at the Travis Avenue residence where the stabbing took place, was taken into custody by police later that morning at around nine in the morning. Second-degree murder and second-degree criminal use of a firearm are the charges against Perez.
