Surveillance captures suspects in violent Southeast D.C. robbery




Washington, D.C. In connection with a late-night robbery in August in Southeast Washington, D.C., where two victims were beaten and robbed at gunpoint, a group of armed people is being sought.

Multiple suspects encircled the victims during the August 20 event, which happened in the 1200 block of Sumner Road, Southeast, at around 2:07 a.m. According to reports, one suspect demanded property while pointing a revolver at the victim’s back of the head.

According to authorities, the second victim was hit in the head by a firearm as they tried to flee. The thieves abandoned the car in Northeast D.C. after making off with stolen goods, including car keys.

In an attempt to identify individuals involved, police enforcement has released images of five of the suspects that were taken by security cameras.

Police have offered a reward of up to $10,000 for tips that result in an arrest and conviction, so anyone with information about the suspects or the incident is asked to get in touch.
