Suspect Arrested Following Montvale Police Pursuit


Clarkstown, NY – On Saturday, the Clarkstown Police Department assisted the Montvale Police Department in a vehicle pursuit involving burglary suspects. The chase ended near Lake Nanuet Road and Pittsford Way in Nanuet.

Three suspects fled the vehicle on foot upon arrival at the location. Clarkstown officers joined the search, deploying unmanned aerial vehicle (UAV) drones and K9 units. Despite collaborative efforts with local and state law enforcement, two suspects are still at large.

One suspect, 27-year-old Jacob A. Ortega-Espinoza, was apprehended shortly after fleeing. Ortega-Espinoza, who has no fixed address, is facing charges of being a fugitive from justice, criminal mischief, and criminal trespass. He is currently awaiting arraignment at Clarkstown Police headquarters.
