Suspect arrested in August homicide of 29-year-old man on Liberty Road

Maryland’s Baltimore County. A 31-year-old man has been taken into custody by Baltimore County police in relation to the early August shooting death of 29-year-old Tracey Hankins Jr. on Liberty Road. According to authorities, the suspect, Kevin Martin, was arrested on November 25 and is currently being held at the Baltimore County Detention Center without bond.

The incident took place in the 6800 block of Liberty Road on August 3 at around 10:05 p.m. When officers arrived at the scene of the shooting, they found Hankins unconscious and suffering from upper body bullet wounds. After being sent to a nearby hospital, the staff declared him deceased.

The victim’s body was taken to the Office of the Chief Medical Examiner for an autopsy after the initial response, and the results indicated that he had been murdered. After an investigation by the Baltimore County Police Homicide Unit, Martin was taken into custody over four months later.
